Maggie Wilson Author

Historical Non-Fiction in Northern Ontario

Six months later.

Six months, ten pounds (in the wrong direction), three excruciating zoom meetings, one social media campaign against threats to historic sites, and two vaccinations later. To be precise.

Oh, and one book, which is at the printers.

This is a brief note to test the waters, because it might be time to come out of hiding.

How you doin’?

  7. How exciting — heartiest congratulations to you! What, 10 lbs more of Maggie is in the wrong direction? As we say here, Nah! Good to see you.

  8. Congratulations, Maggie! Well, if it makes you feel any better, I read yesterday that the average pandemic weight gain is 29 pounds. That means a lot of people gained even more! Makes 10 pounds look pretty paltry, in comparison. Iโ€™m sure it will drop off once normal activities are resumed. Meanwhile, you wrote a book – how cool is that???

  9. Welcome back and congratulations, Maggie! Ten pounds? Donโ€™t worry about it, life is far too short for that to be a problem. Gotta say the past year+ has been interesting. And fraught.

  10. Maggie, so glad you are back. And with a new book. The pause in February to get Mrs. Flowers diary has my interest. Canโ€™t wait to read the book. Historical fiction is my genre. Finally the book Iโ€™m been writing, seems like years, is at the proofreaders. Self-publishing Three Years of Her Life with the help of an awesome team. The pandemic messed with our heads & body. A sense of normal is back here in the US. Glad you are experiencing the same. Give yourself time. Those pounds with disappear now that you are out from undercover. ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ“š Christine

  11. So good to see you, Maggie! I just popped in here myself after hiding for a couple weeks to make progress on my book and get it pitched to some agents. Congratulations on completing your book! Kudos to your hubby for the beautiful photos, too.

Maybe Iโ€™ll squeeze in a blog this week, but editing is consuming most of my time (and dredging up all my source citations!)
