November 11, 2014 • 10:07 am You’re the best, Maggie 🙂 we two could have been lost (confused?) kids together trying to muddle through some destructive Mother Messages. Left a different comment at Holistic Wayfarer. Already scribbling notes for a follow-up post on this topic 🙂 LikeLike Reply ↓ Maggie Wilson November 11, 2014 • 1:30 pm Ah, thanks sweetheart. As the child of immigrant parents who sacrificed on everything until the mortgage was paid off, I have also struggled with the guilt associeated with frivolous and/or luxury spending throughout my life. Couple that with the fact that my husband of 27 years likes to spend like a drunken sailor and, well… talk about conflict. :-S LikeLiked by 1 person Reply ↓ Maggie Wilson November 11, 2014 • 1:35 pm Hey, Nancy – thanks for reading and sharing your reaction. I can imagine your conflict. Actually, I know exactly your conflict personally and from watching it unfold in my brother’s household. The issues related to money/power and our response to them are sometimes impossible to manage. Sometimes, like a storm, our only choice is to ride it out.
